Zeliangrong students unhappy over RPF/PLA silence

IMPHAL, April 4: The All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has in a release reacted strongly against RPF/PLA for not responding in regard with the missing case of Alice Kamei.

“The RPF/PLA not responding to the people voice based on international laws demanding for safe release of minor girl Alice Kamei, who has been held captive since March 10 by them despite people protest is an act of underestimating the people's voice,” the release said.

“Sending unofficial message through some persons without releasing the minor girl is an act to suppress the people movement demanding for safe release of the minor girl. It is also an act of psychological intimidation to the pubic leaders with intention to sow seed of confusion,” it further said.

The people movement will not stop until and unless the minor girl is released unharmed. Intense form of public democratic agitation will be taken up as soon as the ongoing 2nd phase public democratic agitation is completed, it said.

The student body has also expressed strong resentment over Grace Reach Academy for resuming its normal classes despite its missing student Alice Kamei.

“The resumption of class has caused serious suspicion of the school authority involvement in the minor child recruitment. The reason for delay in release of the minor girl is due to non co-operation and support extended by the school authority,” it said.
