Programme on Alzheimer highlights elders’ problems

IMPHAL, September 7: The National Alliance for Elder’s People Livelihood Research Advocacy and Chronic Diseases of India & Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Society of India, Manipur Chapter Imphal organised and conducted a programme on Alzheimer’s and chronic diseases for primary sources of caring today at Heingang Primary Health Centre, Imphal East District, Manipur in connection with the World Alzheimer’s Month 2013, said a press release of the Manipur Chapter of the society.
During the inauguration programme of the one month long World Alzheimer’s month 2013, RK Nayansana Devi, former Chairperson, Social Welfare Board, Govt of Manipur and Badarurar Rahaman member, Seven Kairang Khomidok Zila Parishad, Imphal East, Manipur, Dr K Shantibala Devi, vice chairperson and scientific chief patron NAEPLRA Chronic Diseases of India & ARDSI, Manipur Chapter, Imphal and Dr T Jayananda Singh Medical Officer-In Charge Primary Health Centre, Imphal East District, Manipur attended as the chief guest, president and guests of honours respectively, it said.
The programme was to highlight elders’ problems and diseases, the statement informed.
