KRF, KNLF to sign SoO; KCP (Nongdren Khomba) to sign MoU with government

IMPHAL, September 7: Three militant outfits along with a large number of cadres will be formally laying down their arms on September 9 with the signing of Suspension of Operation and Memorandum of Understanding with both the state and central government.

The ceremony will be held at the 1st Manipur Rifles Banquet Hall at 10am.

According to an official document from the home department government of Manipur, the militant outfits going to sign the tripartite peace accord Suspension of Operation are Kuki Revolutionary Front (KRF) and Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF); while the Kangleipak Communist Party (Nongdren Khomba group) will be signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the state and central governments.

It may be mentioned that 12 cadres of Six different militant outfit including the Publicity officer cum Project officer of PREPAK (Pro) have laid down their weapons in a home coming ceremony to the chief Minster held at the Chief minster Secretariat on September 4 evening in the presence of state Home minster Gaikhangam, Chief Secretary PC Lawkunga and Director General of Police, MK Das.
