IMPHAL, Sept 7: The Women Empowerment for Better Society, Langthabal Kunja has today said in a press release that a National Environment Awareness Campaign (NEAC) 2012-13 was organised at Langthabal Kunja in Imphal west district on September 6 under the main theme of ‘Biodiversity Conservation’ under the sponsorship of Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India through Directorate of Environment, Government of Manipur, Porompat.
The programme was inaugurated by W Kesho Singh, headmaster of Canchipur High School while Y Achou Singh, president of Langthabal Development Committee and A Nanda Singh, social activist participated as president and guest of honour respectively, it said.
