Unselected SI/Jamandar candidates to form committee to challenge result

IMPHAL, August 14: The recruitment rally conducted under the state Home department to appoint the vacant posts of police Sub-Inspectors and Manipur Rifles (MR) and India Reserve Battalion (IRB) Jamadars is likely to kick up a storm in the state.
It all started after the name of a candidate who had failed to clear the written test of the said examination was included in the final selected result declared recently.
The said candidate had failed the written test according to the notification issued on December 23, 2011 by the Manipur Police Training Centre Director P Doungel who is the chairman of the recruitment rally.
In regard to the issue, a public meeting was held today at the residence of Md Islamuddin at Lilong Bazaar.
The meeting, which was presided over by Dr Badar was attended by candidates of the said recruitment rally and their guardians.
The meeting resolved to institute a committee of the candidates and their guardians. The name of the committee will be fixed in the next meeting which will be held at Lilong Bazaar on August 16 at 7:30 am at the residence of Md Islam who was appointed as the convenor during the meeting today.
