TC charges handloom cluster implementation

IMPHAL, August 17: The Manipur Predesh Trinamool Congress Committee today said in a press statement alleging Industry Department, Govt of Manipur for implementing handloom cluster program in namesake. Basically, the handloom cluster is a scheme financed by the Ministry of Textile, Govt of India so as to promote the handloom sector.
The press statement said that the handloom cluster scheme has been implementing for the last three years with a huge amount of funding from the central govt and adding that Trinamool Congress has come to know that the handloom cluster units could not get benefits of life insurance policy, credit card, free medical checkup, health insurance etc in a time the scheme is nearing its completion owing to irregularities and non-functional by the District Industry Centre.
In this regard, Manipur Trinamool Congress is taking the issue very seriously, it said.
