Mass enrollment for Youth Congress held at Lamka

LAMKA, May 9: A one day seminar cum mass enrollment of members for Youth Congress (YC) was held at the Zougal memorial hall, Zoveng Lamka, organized by the Youth Congress 60/Singat a/c today.

The program which began around 1pm was attended by leaders of the Youth Congress.

Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) vice president and the elected MDC of the Singat a/c were also present on the occasion which is expected to witness almost 200 enrolment.  

Speaking on the seminar as a resource person GS Haupu, who is the incumbent MLA of Singat  A/C , spoke on the theme ''reliability of INC” and said that ''Right from the first election in the pre-Independence period, the Indian National Congress is the one that could perform for the people when others were fighting their political battle on communal and religious lines”, and added, “the INC is a secular and committed to communal harmony''.

He also spoke on the importance of today’s exercise of mass enrollment.
