JAC on ILP sticks to agitation mode

IMPHAL, May 30: Sapamcha Jadumani, convenor of the JAC on inner line permit system in the course of a press conference at Kanglei Ima Lup (KIL) office today said that all JAC members are set to go ahaed with their planned actions of not allowing any non locals to the state starting from June 1 and barring non locals from entering neighbourhoods from June 6.

He further said that on May 20, 2013 the JAC on ILP had submitted an ultimatum to Home Minister and CM of the state, but till now no response receive from the Government.

It may be mentioned that the state Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister and Chief Secretary along with the members of JAC held a meeting at Chief Minister Conference hall at 4 pm on May 20 and discussed on the issue of implementing ILP in the state.

On the issue of implementing ILP in the state the Chief Minister gave a negative response to withdraw the agitation and said that the movement is anti national. Answering the charge, Sapam cha Jadumani said that the Chief Minister of the state is anti to the people of the state.

He further said the statement of Chief Minister had pointed out that if the ILP is implemented in the state then the people of the state who are residing outside the state will not be safe. In answer, Jadumani said that Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram have already implemented ILP but their people are not harmed by the people of any of the other states.
