AMSU on saloon charges

IMPHAL, April 12: The All Manipur Students union (AMSU) has said today that considering the interest of the students and the public of the state , there will be no change in the saloon rates. This was announced by Romen Leisangthem, Secretary General in a press meet at its HQ today who said that the earlier rate fixed by the students' group will be maintained.
Further he said there were no such consulatation or meeting between AMSU and the All Manipur Barber Association and pointed out that the notification by the Deputy Labour Commissioner on December 28, 2012 is a false statement. For hair cut-Rs 20, shaving- Rs 10, Massage (half)- Rs 20, massage (full)- Rs 40, full hair shaving- Rs 20, hair washing with Shampoo- Rs 15, hair setting- Rs 15, he said.
Naresh Thiyam, President, AMSU also said that as with every year, the Union will observe the patriotic day in the memory of those patriots who laid their life for Manipur in the year 1980, April 13 at Hao Ground, Chinga at 10 am.
He appealed to the people of Manipur to join and give tribute to the patriots and further appealed not to call any bandh or blockade on this day.
