“State in a cross-road, people need to choose the correct path”

IMPHAL, September 22: A book written by (L) Huidrom Jugeshore titled, “An introduction to land tenure in Manipur and the Manipur Land revenue and land reforms Act, 1960" was posthumously released today at his Keishampat Leimajam Leikai residence.
Justice N Koteshwar addressing the simple book release function said (L) Huidrom Jugeshore was an eminent personality in the field of law with experience on a wide range of subjects.
He said the book will help students, lawyers and many others from the related field.
Justice N Koteshwar further observed that Manipur is at a cross road today and the people have to choose the best to bring in peace and development in the state.
“We need to respect the rule of law”, he said. The rule of law is nothing but the respect of law, he elaborated and added that law should be prospective rather than be retrospective.
The book release function was also attended by principal LMS Law College Salatur Rahman; the author’s wife H Radharani; former Justice Gauhati High Court RK Manisana; Dean Social Science, MU Professor E Joykumar.
