A rare animal hand over

JIRIBAM, July 30: Jiribam sub division is a zoological gene pool of many rare animals and people sometimes accidentally capture rare animals but fail to hand over the captured animals in time to concerned authority owing to lack of opportunity or awareness to do so.
On July 30 howeevr, Soroikhaibam Lokendro Singh, the second OC of Borobekara police station which is 27 km away from Jiribam, handed over one rare animal to media reporter M Romeo Singh who went there to collect news information.
OC Lokendro handed over the rare animal to Romeo so as to hand over it to Manipur Zoological garden.
S Lokendro said that the animal was captured near the police station on the night of July 27 at 9: pm and further went on to add that he intended to hand over the animal to the Manipur Zoological garden.
M Romeo Singh said that he went to the Barak Circle to collect news on development issues of the area on July 28, 2013.
After having completed his duty, the president of the All Jiribam Working Journalist Union (AJWJU), M Joymangol Singh told him that a captured rare animal was in the custody of Borobekara police station and continued that the OC of the police wanted to hand over the captured animal to Manipur Zoological garden through AJWJU.
M Joymangal Singh, president of AJWJU said that the rare animal is at the office of the AJWJU and appealed to all concerned to collect the same animal from his office and to contact him, if necessary, on mobile numbers:9612 901 529 or 8974 381 686.
