Muslim organisation confused on MOBC housing scheme

IMPHAL, June 7: Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) released today a press statement saying that there is confusion regarding the announcement of housing scheme of MOBC for the year 2011-12 which has a lot of difference in the breadth and length of GI sheets with that of the year 2010-11.
It further said that the MOBC authority is discharging official duty only for name sake instead of serving the downtrodden backward people in the real sense of the term.
When asking by this organisation to a concerned officer on this particular issue, ‘he suggested to meet the Director instead of asking him as he is not in the position of answering in this regard,’ said the press statement.
The press statement further appealed to all concerned not to invite mass agitation from the backward and poor people.
