MSAD seeks release of arrested student

IMPHAL, June 27: The North East Forum for International Solidarity and the Manipuri Students’ Association, Delhi have today jointly demanded the safe release Alok, a student of Delhi University from Bihar who was arrested during a movement against making Hindi compulsory from April 3, 2013.
Chinglen Khumakcham, president, MSAD during a press conference called at the Kangleipak Student Union office said that the movement is against the decision of the University of Delhi which has made Hindi compulsory for students applying to the university during their schooling uptill class VIII.
He further said that the arrested student should be released by tomorrow.
