Meira Paibis call for agitations on drug trafficking

IMPHAL, March 13: The Working Group of Meira Paibi Movement called a press conference at the Manipur Press Club today declaring that the organization will launched stern agitations in case the Chief Minister fail to take up action against the recent drug seizures as assured by the CM during a meeting yesterday.
Speaking to media persons, spokesperson L Memchoubi Devi said the meira paibi body had submitted memorandum to the state Chief Minister on March 11 demanding an impartial investigation in the drug seizure cases, identification of all those involved in the cases and punishment of all involved.
She continued that following the submission of the memorandum, the Chief Minister had invited representatives of the body for talks which was held yesterday on March 12. During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed that the case has already been brought before the Court and the government will take all necessary actions according to the ruling of the court.
