Saina beats world number 1 to enter Denmark Open final

Dodse, Oct 20: Indian shuttler and 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist Saina Nehwal defeated old nemesis and world number one Yihan Wang of China 21-12, 12-7, to reach the final of Denmark Open badminton in Odense on Saturday.

Wang had claimed a silver medal in the London Olympics earlier this year, after going past Nehwal.

On Saturday though, the Indian got the better of her and made use of her trademark smashes to register a comprehensive win.

She will now face Juliane Schenk of Germany on Sunday.
