Manipur Police drub Kuki Sporting by 6-1

IMPHAL, Oct 4: MPSC trounced KSC, Lambulane 6-1 while TRAU, tiddim Road survived a late challenge from JSYC, Sadar Hills to win by 3-2 margin in today's matches of the 7th Manipur State League football tournament being played at Mapal Kangjeibung.

Somochandra was the star of the police win with three goals (27th, 42nd, 68th) while I Nilakumar added a brace 40th, 71st) and Kanta knocked in one (81st) to complete the rout league debutants KSC, for whom the consolation goal was netted by Lamkholen Kipgen in the 73rd minute.

In the keenly contested TRAU versus JSYC match, N dhananjoy (33rd, 57th) and Th Premkumar (13th) scored for the eventual winners while Thangcha Kipgen led the ultimately futile Sadar Hills comeback with goals in the 64th minute and in the injury time.

NEROCA and NISA will face off at 2 pm tomorrow.
