"Japan Laanda Imphal" premier show

IMPHAL, August 24: The premier show of "Japan Laanda Imphal", a CS Film production, produced and directed by Chandam Shyamacharan Singh and Manorama Devi was screened today at the newly constructed MFDC Multi Purpose Auditorium, Palace Gate.

Commissioner of Arts and Culture RK Nimai, IAS graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Director, Arts and Culture, Dr K Sobita Devi and Padma Shree, Dr Moirangthem Kriti Singh graced the occasion as guests of honour.

Several film enthusiasts thronged the auditorium to witness the screening including Japanese tourists in the state.

The film is a tragic story of a Japanese soldier, Kayato San, played by Somorendro who died in the Imphal bombing and after falling in love with a Manipuri girl named Indu, played by Kalpana.
