AZSU (AMN) opposes intimidation of schools

IMPHAL, August 25: The All Zeliangrong Students' Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) sternly opposed the alleged intimidation and threat to school authorities in Noney area by underground factions UNPC over making pretty monetary demands, said a press release of the student union.
“We urge the general public not to entertain such monetary demands under any circumstances but to keep strict vigil against such anti-social activities. We call upon the UNPC involved in making monetary demand to schools to withdraw the demand forthwith”, it said.
The statement further alleged that it is learned that the UNPC have even threatened schools to close down if the school authority failed to comply with their monetary demand.
AZSU (AM&N) further appeal the public, social organisations and students' community to cooperate to withstand against such anti-social elements in the future and make every possible means to facilitate education and initiate efforts towards pacifying various social upheavals.
