Chief Justice confident over construction of JMIC courts in all districts

MOREH, Sept 21: Under the initiative of the state government, a newly renovated court of Judicial Magistrate first class cum Civil Judge (junior division) was inaugurated today at the defunct ADC Moreh building with Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre; Judge High Court of Manipur N Kotiswar Singh; local MLA D Korungthang; president All Manipur Bar Association Kh Mani and DC Chandel Chittaranjan gracing as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

While inspecting the complex, staff building and the location where the judge’s sitting arrangements will be made, Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre exuded confidence that the government will also set up such courts in other districts of the state as well to solve various problems faced by people.

MLA D Korungthang said government staffs residing in Moreh do not like getting postings at Moreh itself, whereas Manipur Police Department personnel have been lobbying for posting at the border town of Moreh.

He added that unless the deputed staffs do not attend the court then it would be unable to serve the people properly.

Today’s function was also attended by ADC Moreh, ADC Chaiman Chandel, community leaders and staffs of various department of Moreh.
