ZEO resolves NSUC impasse amicably

Chandel, August, 21: ZEO Chandel, today met leaders of the Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC) at his office and held a meeting with the agitating student representative who have closed down the office of the Zonal Education Office since last evening demanding regularity of the ZEO.
Later, talking to this correspondent after the meeting, NSUC informed that following an agreement reached between the two parties; the NSUC has withdrawn its agitation of closing down of the Office of the ZEO with immediate effect.
Talking of the developments in the meeting, NSUC informed that the ZEO Chandel, in a meeting assured them of her regular attendance.
It was further informed that the ZEO Chandel a resident of Churanchandpur district had been absent due to her poor health accompanied by fear of staying in the station due to monetary demands.
The ZEO Chandel was also reported to have expressed the desire to stay in Chandel for ensuring her regularity.
The student leaders and the ZEO’s subordinate staff present in the meeting vowed to help and support the ZEO Chandel to make Chandel a free zone for education.
