PWD contractors want PMO officials to remain impartial in reporting

IMPHAL, August 21: The All Manipur PWD Contractor Association of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) has full confidence that the two officials from the Prime Minister’s office would be incorruptible and proper in their conduct with the collection of reports of the scheme in the state.

Speaking to media persons today, president of the association L Guni said that in case the officials become corrupt while submitting the report to the PMO, the association will complain to the central vigilance committee, joint parliamentary committee and the prime Minister.

He further charged that the conduct of PMGSY tender of phase 8 was grossly manipulated and several misdeeds had taken place.

He further continued that according to the Standard Biding Document (SBD) guideline, reports of the tender bidding should be uploaded in the official website however there has been no such upload till date.

The scheme which is a 100 percent centrally sponsored scheme is under the Manipur State Rural Road Development Agency and the centre has provided Rs 204 crore for the eight phases.
