IMPHAL, August 20: A 3 year old boy was found dead at the Imphal River bank near Mahabali Hanuman temple under Porompat police station in Imphal East today.
Locals of the nearby areas who went to the river for fishing came across the dead body partly covered with a polythene bag this afternoon at around 1 pm.
The boy was found wearing a T-shirt and a black colour quarter pant.
Later, police picked up the dead body and deposited it at JNIMS morgue for identification and post mortem examination.
Meanwhile, a decomposed dead body of a man suspected to be non Manipuri was found at a gorge in Longa Koireng under Sapermeina police station in Senapati district this morning around 9 am.
Police have picked up the dead body and deposited it at RIMS morgue for identification and post mortem.
