IMPHAL, May 23: Tongbram Dolly, the wife of Late Sunil whose dead body was recovered from the Nambul river bank has sought justice from the state government.
Addressing a press conference at the Manipur Press club at Majorkhul on Wenesday, Thongbram Dolly said that her husband was found dead on the Nambul riverbank near Moirang Leirak on 21 January at around 5 pm after he went out on a Honda Activa Moped buy material for carpentry.
She maintained that on the fateful day, her husband made a phone call at around 2pm and informed her that the key of the Activa Moped had been forcefully taken by one Yaima of Sagolband Moirang Leirak. "The activa was nowhere near the place where my husband's body was found," Dolly said.
She alleged that the Activa moped was found near the residence of Yaima of Moirang Leirak and said that it was very unfortunate that the police claimed that her husband died due to drug overdose. She pointed out that they had failed to provide the post mortem report of her husband .
Dolly further appealed to the state government to take up proper action against the persons involve in the killing of her husband and deliver justice to the family members.
