AJWJU intervention solves issue of threat to ISTV reporter

JIRIBAM, Oct 2: A meeting convened by the All Jiribam Working Journalists’ Unuion (AJWJU) presided by M Joymangol, president AJWJU and attended by various CSOs held today around 2 pm brought an understanding over the incident of ‘threat’ served to M Romeo Singh, ISTV Reporter who is also the finance secretary of AJWJU by one Kh Birjit Singh of Hilghat under Jiribam sub-division.
In the meeting, it was concluded that the incident had happened due to miscommunication between the two individuals and the understanding was brought as Kh Birjit apologized and pledged that he would not repeat such action in the future. Kh Birjit also said that he would clarify about the incident before the media.
