JIRIBAM, September 12: Chairman SK Thadou of the United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA – SK Thadou) has hailed both the Manipur government and the Government of India for releasing the first stipend for its cadres following the homecoming ceremony held at Kadamtala on July 17 last.

Altogether 45 cadres of the outfit led by its Chairman SK Thadou, had laid down 45 arms during the homecoming ceremony in the presence of Joint Secretary (North East) MHA, Shambhu Kumar Singh and Principal Secretary Home, Manipur Dr J Suresh Babu which was held at the Inspection Bungalow (IB) at Jiribam.

Speaking to the media, chairman SK Thadou lauded the sincere effort of the governments of releasing the first stipend for the outfit’s cadres yesterday which is in tandem with the SoO pact agreement brought between the outfit and the governments adding that the outfit would strictly abide with the ground rules and that if any cadre of the outfit found breaching the ground rules of the SoO pact then it would be not related with the party whatsoever.
He further informed cadres of the outfit who are on leave to collect their stipend money from Muktakhong camp and added that those who fail to turn up would not be given their due amount.
It may be mentioned that UTLA – Robert Information & Publicity Secy Franky through the August edition of ‘’Voice of the hills’’, a monthly magazine published in Kuki dialect had stated that Chairman SK Thadou of UTLA – SK Thadou is not a real cadre of the outfit who works for 22nd AR.
