Tengnoupal MLA assures new transformer for Haolenphai village

MOREH, September 22: Tengnoupal MLA, D Korungthang today announced that efforts are on to place a new and bigger transformer at Haolenphai village to replace the existing one.
The announcement was made while the MLA was inspecting the 15 km long Moreh to Maojang village road constructed under the PMGSY phase eight by carving out the hill using bull dozer.
The MLA was accompanied by ADC Chandel Lhukhosei Zou; Addl Dy Commissioner ADC Moreh Robert Kshetrimayum and Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Moreh K Balaram during the inspection tour.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the inspection visit, the MLA lauded the contractors entrusted with the road construction works for sincerely delivering the assigned task looking after the people.
He said that the 15 km road would lead to Chandel District headquarter and continued that most of the road construction works have been completed and after the completion of the road, works will be taken up to construct the road along the Maojang to Paolon village by carving out the hills.
Saying that once the 15 km road stretch is opened to traffic, the distance between Moreh and Chandel would get shorter by 50 percent, D Korungthang said villagers residing in far flung areas of the villages would get many benefits after the completion of the road.
Appealing to all not to give any kind of disturbances to the construction of the road, the MLA said development would come in the areas where there are roads and bridges in good condition.
