IMPHAL, Sept 9: The Foundation for Environment and Economic Development Services (FEED) organised “Himalayan Day Celebration 2013” at the KVK Sylvan and COGCEHR, Hengbung Senapati, under the theme “Save Himalaya, Save Life”.
The celebration was attended by Dr Puni Lokho IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, DK Thangboi, ADC Kangpokpi, Prof M Premjit Singh, Director of Extension Education, CAU, Dr RK Ranjan Singh, ex-registrar, MU and Dr M Homeshor Singh, Director, Directorate Environment, as resources persons.
The motive of the Himalaya day was to shed light on the importance and the need to protect the Himalayas, which is the most important source responsible for many life forms in the entire south Asia. Students from different schools situated in Senapati district, social leaders, attended the celebration.
