Arrested VDF personnel remanded to police custody

JIRIBAM, August 30: The three VDF personnel who were nabbed by the Meitei Naha Club, Ningthembam yesterday for their alleged involvement in lifting a Honda Activa scooter were produced before the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Jiribam today and further remanded to Police custody, according to reports.
The Jiri Police had registered a case against the three personnel and the stolen activa scooter has been recovered by the police.
It may be mentioned that Meitei Naha Club, Ningtembam handed over the three to Jiribam Police yesterday for their involvement in lifting the vehicle. The three have been identified as Ayekpam Chaoba Singh (25), son of A Labaina Singh of Bakhal, Cachar, Assam; Ahobam Jiten Singh (23), son of A Babatombi Singh of Champanagar, Jiribam and Thongam Tomba Singh (26), son of Th Rajkumar Singh of Kadamtala, Jiribam.
