29 tankers, 14 LPG bullets arrives

IMPHAL, August 8: The newly constructed road is now open to traffic which has been set up after a heavy landslide took place at Phesama thereby causing NH 2 to be non operational for the last many days. 29 loaded tankers and 4 LPG bullets arrived here along with the CRPF escort in the afternoon.

Four LPG bullet, Seven petrol tankers, five of 20 KL diesel tankers and 11 of SK oil of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)  reached today while two of 20 KL & three of 12 KL petrol and two more of 20 KL Diesel of the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) also reached Imphal.

In the mean time, 30 empty tankers left Imphal for ferrying necessary petroleum and allied products at around 11:30pm.

The source further continued adding that in view of the shortage of the petroleum products in the state, IOC is planning to fetch it from the shortest point that is from Numaligarh in  Assam which is only 305 Km from here.
