IMPHAL, July 21: The chairman of United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA) while terming July 16 incident wherein a major scuffle broke out between the 22nd AR and Jiribam Police as unfortunate has informed that the party has terminated its former general secretary from his post following the incident.
Speaking to media persons, the chairman refuted any connection whatsoever with 22nd AR and urged both the Jiribam Police and 22nd AR not to confront each other.
The chairman further said that its former general secretary was removed from his post for misusing his power and carrying out secret propaganda to mislead the people.
UTLA’s defence secretary Le Len Mate was also present at the interaction.
