UNC sumbits memo

IMPHAL, July 15: The United Naga Council has said in press statement that the council has submitted a memorandum to the Union Home Minister urging to “communicate the date for the next round of talk within 15 days of this submission after ensuring that the GoM would be represented with mandate and authority to address the issue at hand”.
It has also said that the next round of talk be held at Tamenglong district as already assured earlier.
The UNC is demanding an 'alternative arrangement' for the Nagas in Manipur outside the government of Manipur. So far five rounds of talks involving the UNC, the government of Manipur and the Central government had been held.
