State cabinet to discuss Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat post creation

IMPHAL, July 28: A state cabinet meeting will be held tomorrow at 3 pm at Cabinet Secretariat presided by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh.

According to reports, the meeting will discuss about the post creation of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat and also about the appointment of two posts each for Manipur Civil Service and Manipur Finance Service (MFS) on deputation.

Besides the appointment of two MCS and MFS officers each on deputation, the meeting will also discuss about the promotion of some selected officials in the Assembly Secretariat.

The agendas to be tabled in the cabinet meeting tomorrow include; appointment of Municipal Council executive officers (EOs) through Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC), regularization of the Ad-hoc employees of the state government.

Others agendas include; correction of the names, addresses etc. in the National Highway-53 (Imphal-Jiribam Road) landslide victims list; discussion on whether to grant family pension or not to the families of work charged employees of Public Works Department (PWD); re-engagement of the post of state co-ordinator of Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) of the state Agriculture department on contract basis; and appointment of Advocate and Legal Assistant or officers on Special duty (OSD) in the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department.
