Protest over Sana Konung takeover continues

IMPHAL, July 26: Nepra Major Pukhri Mapal Women’s Voluntary Association volunteers today staged a sit-in-protest against the state government’s decision to take over Sana Konung at Sana Konung.
The demonstration which started from 11 am was led by its president H Sanahanbi Devi and general secretary L Moirangleima. Around 34 volunteers took part in the demonstration.
Speaking to the media, H Sanahanbi Devi strongly condemned the state government’s decision to take over Sana Konung.
She said that they will stand firm against the government’s decision and added that the titular king shall not be moved anywhere in any condition.
