LAMKA, July 7: The second annual program of mass prayer for the unity of the Kukis was held at Maichammun Songpi village, Ccpur today under the theme “To put up high the banner/flag for the glory of God”.
Speaking on the occasion, president Kuki National Organisation (KNO) PS Haokip said that unity is essential for the Kuki tribes to succeed in whatever they do and further emphasised on the necessity for the two main organisation or front UPF and KNO so that “We will have numerical advantage as well as in territory wise”, he stated and added that he had talks with the leader of UPF for at least 4 time in this regards.
Haokip also said that God will surely help.
He said, “We are always in a haste for God to deliver but we must first find out the will and way of God too”, then he will surely deliver what we want to asked, he said.
The program was held at 1:00 pm at Maicham mun.
A mass prayer for the unity was held by all present in the program on three occasion at today program
Meanwhile, the secy information and pub KSDC, S George Guite told this IFP correspondent that since there was no indication of invitation from the govt for talks, the KSDC bandh will go on as scheduled from 5:00 am tomorrow.
