IMPHAL, July 19: The Laiyingthou Sanamahi Thougal Kanglup has today said in a press release the king should not be evicted from the present Palace as there is a tradition of performing rituals in a day and also annually held rituals by the king thereby making it mandatory for a king to live in the Palace where a set of gods including the Ibudhou Pakhangba resides.
The press release thus urged to the Govt of Manipur to revoke the cabinet decision to take over Sana Konung so as to preserve it as museum adding that eviction of King from Sana Konung is an act of attempting to destroy Kanglei genealogy, it further said.
