BJP reviews its preparedness in run-up to Assembly elections

New Delhi, July 5: Gujarat CM and BJP poll campaign committee Chief Narendra Modi and senior BJP leader L K Advani on Thursday attended a crucial meeting of the BJP's parliamentary board which discussed the party's strategy for 2014 general elections and for state assembly elections in five states.

Advani and Modi shared the party platform for the first time since Modi's elevation as the party's campaign committee chief last month.

Narendra Modi has set the ball rolling on the BJP's mission 2014.

The Gujarat Chief Minister and party's Campaign Committee's chief took part in the meeting of the BJP's Parliamentary Board with L K Advani right by his side apart from other top leaders.

Apart from this meeting, Modi also strategize on next year's general elections with the party's General Secretaries.

Though the party did not disclose much about the specifics of the discussions but it did make it clear that their preparation for the Lok Sabha elections is very much off the blocks.

It was being anticipated that Friday's meetings would lead to finalisation of the members of the campaign committee.

But the party has kept a tight lid on that list so far and its mostly Modi who's been drawing the Congress's fire.
