Education Minister draws flak on admission issue

IMPHAL, June 24: The MPP Youth Front has today issued a press release blaming the education Minister for the situation arising out of the class XI admission issue.
The statement said it has now become a difficult situation for those seeking admission, their parents and guardians and the state government.
Mentioning the conversion of the Ramlal paul Higher Secondary School to the Ramlal Paul Girls’ Higher Secondary School so as to accommodate girl students who have failed to get admission in TG Hr Sec School and Ibotonsana Girls’ Hr Sec School after submitting their admission forms and the subsequent effect of the school students’ union locking the Principal’s office, it said that the cabinet decision has created an uncertainty in the affairs of the school.
It further added that the seat capacity of the Ramlal Paul Hr Sec School would only be 300 whereas more than 1000 forms have been transferred from the TG Hr Sec School, it said.
While questioning on the present issue, it further continued, the Principal of the Ramlal Paul Hr Secondary School said that she is unable to answer to any questions in this regard as she is not getting any government order, it said.
