IMPHAL, May 9: BMSC of Manipur football team defeated Mumbai FC by 5-4 goals in the tie-break in the final of the 8th edition of All India Manchester United Premier Cup 2013. The final match was played at Durel Stadium Goa today.
BMSC, Manipur will now represent India in the forthcoming Asia final of the Manchester United to be held at Malayasia.
During the normal time of the final, both teams played well with fantastic attacks and counter attacks from both sides, though both failed to convert any of their changes.
Even after the end of the extra time, the scoreline stood at 0-0.
In the tie-breaker both teams were again locked at 4-4 after the alloted five spot takers for each team.
In sudden death, Manipur defeated Mumbai by 5-4 goals.
M Romario Singh of Manipur was awarded the best player of the tournament.
