MUSU gets a revival committee

IMPHAL, May 18: The Manipur University Students’ Union, Revival Demand Committee today announced its formation during a press conference held at the Political Science Lecture Hall of the university.
It may be mentioned that the Manipur University Students’ Union was abolished in 2009.
Meanwhile, speaking at the conference, the newly appointed convener of the committee, Kangujam Karnajit Singh said the committee will submit a memorandum on May 20 to the university Vice Chancellor demanding revival of the MUSU by July 20.
He continued unless the authorities approve the demand by the set deadline, the students will launch several forms of democratic agitations from the next day.
He continued the committee will also meet the Union Minister of Human Resource, Pallam Singh on May 27 and submit a copy of the 16 points charter of demands.
