Horticulture exposure visit

IMPHAL, April 30: The department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation under the horticulture mission of North East and Himalaya organized an exposure visit for seven teams of 70 farmers from April 30 till 7 in the four valley districts of the state where horticulture activities have been taken up.
A member of the organizing team said the objective of the visit is to expose the farmers to the activities conducted under the “Horticulture Mission of North East” scheme.
It is believed that the project will be helpful to the farmers and teach them about how to grow plants during the off season also, so as to generate more income.
The visit was flagged off by Kh Ratankumar Singh, in charge HMNEH from the Horticulture department at Sanjenthong.
