ATDUM to file PIL

IMPHAL, May 15: The All Tribal Disables’ Union, Manipur has today declared that the union will file a Public Interest Litigation against the non-decentralisation of authority for issue of Disability Certificate and non-providing free accessibility for differently-abled persons at the all government officers, Manipur.

The declaration was made by Momo Tantanga during at a press meet at its Nagaram office today.

Speaking further, he said the union has appointed Moirangthem Devananda, Advocate as the legal aid counsel for filling the PIL on behalf of ATDUM.

He continued that the PIL will be filed as the government has failed to convert into action its order to identify the Medical Officers posted at PHCs and CHCs of nine districts of the state and CMOs of the district in case of non-availability of MOs in the PHCs/CHCs as medical authorities for issue of disability certificate.
