Women groups decries failure to file charge-sheet in Napetpali case

IMPHAL, April 26: A joint press statement of the Naga Women’s Union (NWU); Imphal Tangkhul Shanao Long (ITSL); Indigenous Women’s Forum North East, India (IWFNEI) and Rongmei Luh Phuam (RLP) has said that the organizations were concerned over the Napetpali incident of December 24, 2012 involving a minor school girl who was assaulted with an attempt to rape and murder by self proclaimed KCP cadres at Napetpali, Imphal East under Lamlai Police Station.

Condemning the delay in proceeding with the case, it said that the authority concerned was yet to put up a charge sheet till date even after four months of the incident, it said.
