More discipline and integrity will make Manipur Police, a force to reckon: Dy CM

IMPHAL, April 7: The Manipur Police Christian Church (MPCC) has observed its 4th foundation day cum Unit Christian Churches Association (UCCA) get together at National Games Village Zone I today.

During the occasion Lunkhosei Haokip, General Secretary of the MPCA, a combination of MPCC and UCCA said," The UCCA motto i.e. “Send Thy Light” tells us to emit the light of God as darkness vanishes when light comes."

Presided over by IK Muivah, the Superintendent of Police of Manipur Central Jails, Imphal and Sajiwa; the occasion was graced by Gaikhangam, Deputy Chief Minister as chief guest.

Speaking at the occasion, Gaikhangam praised the Lord for giving a chance through the occasion for Gospel sharing. "A person without religion is like a flower without fragrance. Police personnel have to be religious, to love their motherland and their people so that the police organization prospers," he said.

He maintained that the law enforcement agency  are there to protect life and property and needs to be more religious than others. "Otherwise when they get angry, they may shoot out and innocent people’s life will be at stake. If some more discipline and integrity were added to Manipur Police then it will be incomparable with other state forces," he went on to say.
