Works Minister on PWD issue

IMPHAL, March 8: Works Minister Dr Kh Ratan Kumar assured the House today that an early solution will be brought soon regarding the issue of regularization of eight AEs of PWD, after consulting with legal experts.  

Replying to a discussion on a matter of public interest motion raised by opposition MLA L Ibomcha Singh on the disputed seniority list published regarding regularization of eight A.Es of PWD, on the concluding day of the House today, Works Minister Dr Kh Ratan Kumar said that an early solution will be sought regarding the issue after consultation with legal experts.

The Minister also said that the PWD department works as the backbone for the development of the state and the engineers play a major role in the department and so satisfying them is obvious.

The matter was discussed thoroughly twice in earlier cabinet meetings to bring an end to the issue however, due to the complexity of the issue it is taking time, he said and assured the house that the issue will have a solution soon.
