State scribe team leave for Tripura

IMPHAL, March 15: Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam flagged off a team of  state journalist for a trip to Tripura organized by All Manipur Working Journalist Union from the Manipur Press Club today.

AMWJU president Ahongsangbam Mobi led the 18 member team. The team is set to interact with Manipuri Meiteis residing at Tripura and will look into the developments brought into the state by the Left government as well as other works taken up by the Tripura local self government.    

The team will further meet the Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and DGP of the state during their visit and will inspect the Agartala-Dhaka Bus Service terminal as also the fencing walls at Tripura and Bangladesh or Myanmar.

The team will visit historical places, markets and tourist spots of the state and will intact with the journalists of the state as well. The team will come back to Imphal on March 22.
