Meira protest rally at Sugnu

IMPHAL, March 9: The Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol, CADA had organized a meira rally at Sugnu Bazar, Thoubal on March 7 against the recent issue of drug trafficking in the state, said a press release of the association.

It continued that the rally had been organized as part of the ongoing campaign of several civil societies including AMKIL, Nupi Samaj, Tammi Chinmi, Macha Leima EECHAL, TDUWDO, ANUL, AMMWDO, CADA, UPF, NIPCO, AMSU, MAPI Council, UPPACO and KNKSSL.

The rally was organized jointly by CADA Sugnu Unit and the Sugnu Apunba Nupi Lup and was participated by more than 300 women who held meiras (torch) in their hands who also shouted slogans against the recent issue of drug traffickings.
