Centre says CBI is looking into the killing of DSP in UP; guilty will be punished

New Delhi, March 5: In the wake of the killing of a DSP in Uttar Pradesh, BSP on Tuesday alleged that the law and order situation has deteriorated in the state.
Speaking to reporters outside the parliament house, BSP Chief Mayawati demanded imposition of President's Rule and action against the guilty in the case.
SP leader Ramgopal Yadav said that the state government has decided to recommend a CBI probe into the killing of DSP Zia-ul-Haq.
Meanwhile, Centre says CBI is looking into the matter and guilty will be punished.
Autopsy report says DSP Zia Ul Haq died of head injuries.
Earlier on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav assured that his government would recommend a CBI probe into the killing of Deputy Superintendent of Police Kunda Zia-ul-Haq.
Pressure builds up on UP CM to arrest Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya for his alleged role in killing DSP after a group violence in Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district.
After meeting Praveen Azad, the wife of the slain DSP, Akhilesh also said that stern action would be taken against those found involved in the murder.
Food Minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh Raja Bhaiya's resignation was accepted after his name cropped up.
Meanwhile, the autopsy report of the slain DSP revealed that he was beaten before being shot. The report says that he died of head injuries.
Speaking on the issue, MoS Home, R PN Singh said the issue has been reffered to CBI and who so ever is guilty should be prosecuted.
