BJP's political resolution projects itself as the sole alternative to Congress

New Delhi, March 3:  Terming Congress rule as disappointing, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked his party workers to work hard to present an alternative to the UPA government.

The BJP today adpoted a political resolution at its National Council meeting in New Delhi.

The resolution accused the UPA government of indulging in severe corruption.

Reacting to Modi's speech Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tiwari recalled how Modi was pulled up by then Prime Minister Vajpayee and given a lesson on Raj dharma.

The Congress party took exception to his remarks against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

NCP said the country could not accept a fundamentalist leader, while the CPI reminded both the Congress and BJP that neither office of Prime Minister or President is elected directly by the people.
