Thajamanbi in final of ongoing TT championship

IMPHAL, November 23: Thajamanbi of Imphal East has found a place for herself in the final of the women’s singles event of the ongoing 34th Stag State and inter district Table Tennis championship at the DM college campus Indoor stadium today.

In the first semi-final of the women’s single, S Thajamanbi defeated Romita K of the same district by 4-0 (11-9, 11-3, 11-5, 11-4); while in the second semi-final, N Anna of Thoubal will meet I Monalisa of Imphal West.

In the cadet girls singles event, N Preety of Thoubal defeated Ak Bitoo of Thoubal by 3-2 (11-5, 2-11, 2-11, 15-13, 11-3) in the first semi-final while in the second semi-final, S Senerita of TBL defeated P ROshni of BPR by 3-1 (11-5, 11-13, 11-2, 11-8).

In the cadet boys’ single quarter finals, K ROhit of Imphal West defeated K Aman Sen of BPR by 3-2, K Kenao of I/W defeated Y Khelendrajit of TBL by 3-0, W Lanthoiba of TBL defeated K Priyoshankar by 3-0 and P Suman of BPR defeated P Arjun of the same district by 3-0.

In the junior boys’ singles quarter final matches, O Bishwanath, TBL defeated H Gaigalung Kamei, I/E by 4-1, Ak Chaoba, TBL defeated Ch Monoranjan, I/W by 4-0, Kh Bantakumar, I/W defeated W Lanthoiba, TBL by 4-0 while K Jackson, BPR defeated K Rohit, I/W by 4-1.
