Rapists remanded to police custody

IMPHAL, October 25: The two accused persons arrested for physically violating a juvenile school-girl at Tampha Fast Food restaurant located at Ghari on October 20 has been produced before the concerned court today.
The accused duo namely commando constable, Yumnam William, 28, s/o late Deven of Khagempalli Pankha and artist Tarun Thongam,27,s/o Th Jayenta of Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai has been produced before the JMIC at Cheirap Court, Uripok and remanded into police custody till October 28.
It may be mentioned that the victim along with the accused persons have been examined at RIMS Forensic Science Department and police have registered a case no. 460 (10) 2012 (abduction and rape) under section 366/376/34 of the IPC.
